Narrative and storytelling have always been part of my life, but it wasn’t until high school that I truly fell in love with writing.

When I first began attending the Knoxville Writers Guild Youth Division, I was struggling with issues at home, at school, and in every other facet of my life. I was depressed, lonely, insecure, and most of all confused. I didn’t know what I was feeling, or how to convey those feelings to those around me.

It was my writing group that taught me how to process what I was feeling and how to express it to others.
